Dr. Kristen Hunt has more than 26 years of experience in the industry as a food safety and food microbiology professional. She is Deibel Laboratories’ current Director of Technical Services. Hunt is a recognized process authority, food safety consultant and mentor in the field. Through her current role, Hunt provides support to Deibel’s clients regarding testing needs, OOS results, development of studies and assessment of current technologies. As a curriculum specialist, she provides professional growth through webinars and both industry-recognized and customized training courses (Micro 101, HACCP, PCQI, FSVP, foreign material and sanitation). Hunt specializes in HACCP- and FSMA-compliant food safety programs, processing deviations and crisis management. She actively participates in industry organizations and research consortiums like IAFP, FSPCA, IFSH and is the current vice chair for IAFNS (Institute for the Advancement of Food and Nutrition Sciences) Microbiology Committee. Collaboratively with other industry leaders, Hunt has co-authored industry guidance documents and journal articles.
