Consumer, Industry and Associations to Discuss Findings of FDA, Reagan-Udall Report Today

WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Tue., Dec. 6, the Reagan-Udall Foundation will release a report from its independent expert panel charged with operational evaluation of the FDA’s foods program. 

Although the contents of the report are not yet known, key consumer advocacy stakeholders will be available to publicly comment on the report after its release. The Reagan-Udall Foundation review is set to offer recommendations to ‘equip FDA to better carry out its regulatory responsibilities, strengthen its relationships with state and local governments, and secure the nation’s food supply.' 

The FDA has been under intense pressure for nearly a year to reform its food program, partly due to an ongoing infant formula crisis that resulted in the deaths of two babies.
