On behalf of USDA, the National Agricultural Research, Extension, Education, and Economics (NAREEE) Advisory Board is requesting nominations to fill vacancies on the NAREEE Advisory Board. As described in the Federal Register notice, the NAREEE Advisory Board provides advice and guidance to the Secretary of Agriculture and land-grant colleges and universities on national priorities and policies related to agricultural research, education, extension, and economics. The Board is also charged with performing an annual review of the adequacy of funding, and the relevance of the programs and activities of the REE mission area. The Board is composed of 25 members, each representing a specific area of expertise or affiliation required in the Farm Bill. This is a three-year term which will begin October 1, 2017.
IFT is considering submitting nominations for “Category H. National Food Science Association” to the NAREEE Advisory Board. The deadline for nominations is Monday, July 31. To be considered for nomination by IFT, send the following information/materials to fmohamedshah@ift.org by Monday, July 17.
