Dr. Glenn Froning, 86, Lincoln, NE, passed away January 29, 2017. After retiring from university life, Froning served for many years as the American Egg Board’s (AEB) food science and technology advisor.
Froning and his wife Lynne worked tirelessly to support and promote AEB’s egg product marketing. Today’s successes would not be possible without their contributions, AEB said.
Froning received many honor and awards throughout his career, including election as a fellow in the In Poultry Science Society; is the author or co-author of more than 200 scientific publications and popular articles on poultry meat and eggs; and was a member of several professional societies. Memorials can be made to Lincoln’s Saint Paul United Methodist Church. He will certainly be missed, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
