Test Strips

Peracetic acid and chlorine dioxide are gaining in popularity in the food processing area. Chlorine dioxide is also well established in the drinking water area. The by-products of peracetic acid, acetic acid and oxygen are more environmentally friendly than chlorine. Since chlorine dioxide is a stronger oxidizer than chlorine and is becoming easier to make on-site, processors are using this in sprays and soaking solutions.

The target value for sanitation with peracetic acid is 85 ppm. To meet this need, LaMotte extended the range of their previous test strips from 0-50 to 0-160 ppm. The color values are 0, 10, 20, 40, 85, and 160 ppm. LaMotte offers two ranges of chlorine dioxide strips, 0-10 ppm and 0-500 ppm.
