Zee Company, a member of the Vincit Group, has announced the USDA/Food Safety Inspection Services (FSIS) approval of Microtox Plus and Microtox Ultra by for use as antimicrobial intervention chemistries in OLR dip tanks. The products will be listed as approved in the next revision of FSIS Directive 7120.1 for this application.
“Microtox Plus and Microtox Ultra are the only PAA chemistries that can be used either as a dip or a spray in OLR applications,” the company said. As stated in the FSIS letter of October 16, 2017: “FSIS has completed its review of your in-plant trial data has no objection for the use of Microtox Ultra [or Microtox Plus] in a drag-through dip OLR application…”
This latest advance is made possible through the combined efforts of ITG engineering and Zee Company chemistries. Zee Company stated that it is the only company with the approval to provide this antimicrobial intervention, and does so through its Pathogen Control Center (PCC), a fully automated PAA concentration system.
