BUFFALO GROVE, Ill – Xcluder announces the launch of Night Guard Rodent-Proof Dock Leveler Seals.
Designed to protect the small gap around dock levelers that otherwise creates an open invitation for small rodents, Night Guard Seals are constructed with solid steel and a rodent-proof gasket lined with Xcluder fill fabric – a patented combination of stainless steel and poly-fiber that is virtually impenetrable to rats, mice and insects. Night Guard Seals are placed on either side of the leveler when it is not in use, with no professional installation required. When the leveler is in use, Xcluder Night Guard is stored away easily on wall-mounted brackets.

Rodents can enter a building through an opening as small as 1/4 inch, which makes the tiny gap surrounding an unprotected loading dock door an easy target for these tenacious pests. Xcluder’s sharp, coarse fibers create a solid barrier against rats and mice, and its combination of stainless steel and poly-fiber will not rust or degrade over time.
“Until now, attempting to rodent-proof the gap around dock levelers has been expensive and time consuming, requiring the work of a hired professional,” said Paul Bonn, business manager, Xcluder. “It's such a common rodent entry point that we're excited to offer our customers a fast and easy-to-implement solution.”
Xcluder Night Guard Dock Leveler Seals are ideal for food processing and storage facilities, food distribution centers, grocery stores, pet stores, and any location in which the harsh chemicals often used in pest control must be avoided. Designed to be installed and removed in a matter of seconds, Night Guard is available in three sizes to accommodate 72”, 84” and 96” levelers. Custom kits are also available to accommodate larger levelers. The all-steel construction stands up to forklift traffic with ease, and includes welded positioning pins to ensure correct placement and wall-mounted brackets for easy storage. Night Guard can be used with existing brush seals and features an optional pull chain or hinge seal.
