'What Makes Food Safe?' Student Poster Competition Launched

The challenge, open from May 7-June 7, invites school and university students to design a poster that answers the question: “What makes food safe?” The aim is to encourage young people to reflect on the science and practices that keep our food safe every day.

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and World Health Organization (WHO) are calling on students worldwide to take part in a new poster competition marking World Food Safety Day.

The challenge, open from May 7 to June 7, invites school and university students to design a poster that answers the question: “What makes food safe?” The aim is to encourage young people to reflect on the science and practices that keep our food safe every day.

A panel of FAO and WHO experts will judge the entries, selecting winners from each of the Codex regions: Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Near East, North America, and the South West Pacific.
