Meat and poultry processor Tyson Foods announced that it plans to expand its presence in South America, China and Mexico.
The poultry producer said it expects to increase international sales to $5 billion by 2010 from $3 billion for 2007. The company plans to purchase an undisclosed integrated poultry business in Brazil by the end of 2007, and expand its production in Mexico.
Tyson said it agreed to two joint ventures in China, both expected to be completed in 2008.
