HOUSTON — Tyco Flow Control, a manufacturer of flow control products, recently announced the recognition of its Stafford manufacturing facility, which produces pressure relief valves for the food, power and processing industries, with an honorary OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Super Star site.
The award recognizes manufacturing plants with low incident and employee absenteeism rates based on the Bureau of Labor Statistics industry standards. The TFC Stafford facility achieved results that exceeded the national standards of 75 percent on both items.
“Tyco Flow Control is committed to the safety and well being of our employees,” said Jerryl Nai, environmental health and safety manager for TFC. “This recognition by OSHA is a result of our employees’ relentless commitment to safety, and we will continue to raise the bar each year to improve our processes and provide a safe working environment for our employees.”
OSHA acknowledges organizations that promote and achieve effective health and safety initiatives with a VPP certification and regional awards each year. The Super Star award for TFC Stafford was given this year at the VPP regional conference.
