Throwback Thursday: Jack Daniel's

This week’s Throwback Thursday revisits the Jack Daniel’s distillery, the blending of its whiskeys, and the “7th generation, under the guidance of its 7th master distiller” production of Old No. 7 the same way that Jack originally decreed.

If you drink at all, you’ve likely tried at least one of the numerous options in flavored vodkas, but have you tried flavored whiskey? In the spring, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey and Winter Jack were joined by the distillery’s own version of a cinnamon whiskey – Tennessee Fire. If the rising flavored whiskey trend flows anything like that of flavored vodkas, you can expect to see crazy whiskey flavors jostling the vodkas for shelf space for ... the next 20 years!

This week’s Throwback Thursday revisits the Jack Daniel’s distillery, the blending of its whiskeys, and the “7th generation, under the guidance of its 7th master distiller” production of Old No. 7 the same way that Jack originally decreed: “Every day we make it, we’ll make it the best we can.”

Although if you talk to Master Distiller Jeff Arnett, today’s best is even better than the original. “We make the whiskey that speaks to what Jack would have wanted.”
