Three new final rules of FSMA have been completed and submitted to the Federal Register. FDA has submitted the final produce safety, foreign supplier verification and third-party accreditation rules for publication, as required by the court. However, because documents submitted to the Federal Register can take several days to publish, as was seen with the first two final rules, thes final rules are not yet available for review.
FDA has noted that it is committed to sharing information about the final rules and how facilities can comply as soon as we are able to do so. To stay abreast of updates, which the agency will share as soon as the final rules are available via the Federal Register, keep an eye on http://www.fda.gov/Food/GuidanceRegulation/FSMA. QA will also provide updates as they become available.
