Embedded Poll
Does your company have a food safety culture plan?

The nearly 50/50 split isn't surprising given many FSQA professionals are still looking for clues on how to implement food safety culture. That's something we heard a lot at QA's Food Safety Culture virtual conference in December. Check out all of the sessions below.

  • FDA & Food Safety Culture: In this webinar, Frank Yiannas, Deputy Commissioner for Food Policy and Response at FDA, leads a conversation about why food safety culture is important. Plus, Donald A. Prater, associate commissioner for imported food safety, FDA Office of Food Policy and Response, and Conrad Choiniere, director of the office of analytics and outreach, FDA Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, discuss how FDA is leveraging food safety culture.
  • Our Favorite Things In Food Safety Culture: In this webinar, Catalyst's Tia Glave and Jill Stuber celebrate the BEST of food safety culture by sharing our favorite things! With articles, social media posts and webinars sharing information weekly, if not daily, about how to improve food safety culture, where does one start? Join us to learn about the most impactful perspectives to infuse and guide your food safety culture journey!
  • How To Build Food Safety Culture Through Continual Learning: The learning environment provides us with an amazing opportunity to connect with the hearts and minds of our employees, helping them to find meaning in their work and discover their personal alignment to the food safety culture of the company. In this session, Sage Media's Austin Welch shows how leveraging a mix of adult learning best-practices, motivation theory and curiosity within your learning programs will increase training efficacy, critical thinking skills and, ultimately, your overarching food safety culture.
  • Food Safety Culture Is A Journey … Not A Destination: There are dozens of ways within the food industry to define a strong Food Safety, but is it that easy to define? What if, as FSQA professionals, we look at it as a journey filled with challenges, detours and small wins that add up to gaining buy-in and creating bigger shifts in how leadership approaches food safety? In this session, Dole Fresh Vegetables' Amy Parks shares examples of what has (or maybe hasn’t) worked to build a stronger food safety culture using real-life examples from the trenches.
