For the third year in a row, awarded Oakland, Calif.-based The Clorox Company won The Association for Dressings & Sauces’ (ADS) Package of the Year Award. This year, the award was presented for the Hidden Valley Ranch Topping & Dressing Loop Package at the ADS in October.
“We wanted to give people a way to enjoy as much Hidden Valley Ranch as humanly possible — while limiting waste. Our sleek, new glass HVR bottle gives you the same blast of ranch flavor you love in an ecofriendly material that can be used over and over again delivered directly to your doorstep,” said Ritu Mishra at The Clorox Company, who thanked her innovation team and Matthias Palm, research fellow, for spearheading the project. “We are honored that the members of the association recognized the form and function of our innovation,” said Mishra.
The Package of the Year Award is presented by ADS to increase the awareness of packaging and to celebrate the accomplishments of the packaging industry for dressing-, sauce-, and condiment-related packages. Nominations for the award were received and ADS members cast their votes for the package deemed most innovative in April.
With 14 years at The Clorox Company, Mishra is associate research fellow with a Ph.D. in Food Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. For more information, visit The Clorox Company and Hidden Valley.
