BURBANK, Calif. — Steril-Aire, a manufacturer of mold and microbial control products, has announced expansions to its sales and engineering staffs.
Dave Kueneman is Northwest regional manager; Jeff Scheir is West regional manager; and Ken Gilleland is senior project engineer.

Kueneman joined Steril-Aire in 2005 as food industry sales manager with more than 20 years of prior international management experience in the food processing industry. Before Steril-Aire, he served as vice president of sales and marketing for an equipment company where he helped develop and market germicidal UVC processing machinery for food safety. Prior to that, he spent 15 years in production, procurement and operations management posts with the J.R. Simplot Company, one of the world's largest frozen-potato processors. Kueneman will remain as food industry sales manager in addition to his new duties covering Alaska, Arizona, northern California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, northern Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.

Scheir has three years of experience in UVC working for Steril-Aire in customer service and technical sales support. Prior to joining the company in 2004, he spent more than 10 years in technical sales and account management posts for major high-tech and telecommunications firms including Cisco Systems, Pacific Bell, AT&T, Symantec Corporation and Microsoft Corporation. Scheir holds a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications from California State University, Long Beach. In addition to his current duties, Scheir will cover southern California, southern Nevada and parts of northern California as West regional manager.

Gilleland comes to Steril-Aire with more than 35 years of related experience. He most recently was senior construction project manager for the Glendale (California) Unified School District, where he was responsible for new construction and modernization of schools through the district. Prior to that, he served on the engineering management staff of Universal Studios Recreation Group, assisting in the design and start-up of the Universal Studios Japan Theme Park in Osaka. He also has held engineering management and consulting positions in a variety of other technical and manufacturing sectors.
Gilleland has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, and is a registered professional engineer. As senior project engineer, he is involved in new product development, technical sales support and special projects for Steril-Aire.
