To help food processing professionals improve food safety and navigate the maze of ever-evolving regulatory requirements while maintaining effective pest management programs, Sprague Pest Solutions is hosting a pair of education conferences.
Sprague’s Innovation in Pest Management Conference will be held November 14-15, 2017, at the Hilton Hotel in Vancouver, Wash. A second event will be held November 16, 2017, at the Marriott University Park in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The theme for the conference, “Smarter Ideas in Brand Management,” reflects the changing expectations for the food industry. Increased complexity in the food supply chain, tougher demands from consumers and tightened expectations from buyers are compelling food manufacturers to find new ways to defend their products, buildings, and customers from pest-related risk. Attendees can expect to learn smarter solutions and gain insights into the future of pest management and pest prevention.
Attendees will hear from some of the most innovative and experienced pest management and food safety experts as they share best practices from the field in risk-based pest programs and prevention, and the impact of third-party audit compliance. Education sessions include:
- Pest Exclusion: Pest Management by Design
- Trends in Global Food Safety
- Leveraging Risk Assessments in Food Protection
- Modern Rodent Control in Food Plants
- Remote Sensing for Rodent Management
- The Changing Face of Third-Party Audits
- Getting Your Pest Program In Sync
Confirmed speakers for the events include, Copesan Services Director of Field Operations and Quality Dominique Sauvage, Cornel University Entomology Adviser Dr. Jody Gangloff-Kaufmann, National Pest Management Association Chief Entomologist Dr. Jim Fredericks, Trident Seafoods Corporate Food Safety & Quality Assurance John Boyce, Rose Pest Solutions Manager of Education & Training Mark VanderWerp, and Sprague Technical Director Jeff Weier and Bird Control Specialist Keith Rowney.
