The National Fisheries Institute (NFI) has scheduled its “Conference on the Science of Seafood” for Feb. 2-4 in Charleston, S.C.
Agenda items include energy dynamics and savings, seafood supplies, sustainable aquaculture, including sustainable aquaculture with biotechnology, regulations that impact the seafood industry, traceability, HACCP and third-party certification, consumer cooking instructions, antimicrobial pathogen control, consumer healthy eating practices, packaging developments, among other topics.
The conference includes a tour of the Grice Marine Laboratory at the College of Charleston and concludes with a meeting of the NFI Technical Committee.
