WARREN, N.J. - Roka Bioscience announced that its Atlas E. coli O157:H7 EG2 Detection Assay has received AOAC Performance Tested Methods(SM) certification from the AOAC Research Institute (AOAC-RI). The independent laboratory study was conducted by Q Laboratories, Inc., as part of the AOAC-RI independent third-party validation process.
The Atlas E. coli O157:H7 EG2 Detection Assay is approved for the detection of E. coli O157:H7 in 375 gram food samples. It is a simplified testing process requiring only a single pipette step prior to loading onto the automated Atlas System. With the addition of the Atlas E. coli O157:H7 EG2 Detection Assay, Roka's menu now includes assays for the detection of Listeria spp., Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, and E. coli O157:H7.
