MILLIS, Mass. — As an alternative to noxious gasses or carbon producing thermal techniques, Radio Frequency's New Macrowave Pasteurization System uses a high frequency electric field to control pathogens. Utilizing electrical energy from the grid, the material to be treated is conveyed through a high frequency electrode array where the alternating electrical energy causes the material to heat rapidly and uniformly throughout the product thickness. The technology uses energy only during the treatment process.
Radio Frequency has developed a line of Macrowave Pasteurization Systems that operate at 40MHz. These systems are available in conveyorized or batch configurations.
Radio Frequency offers a full line of systems for the bulk pasteurization and/or insect deinfestation of nut meats, various types of flour, pasta, tobacco, fishmeal, xanthan gum and other food ingredients as well as finished products.
