ALEXANDRIA, LA. – Louisiana food poisoning lawyer Richard J. Arsenault says the federal Food Safety and Inspection Service has taken a big step toward protecting consumers from foodborne illnesses by ordering its inspectors to take samples of E. coli 026-contaminated food products.
The FSIS recently sent a notice to its inspection program personnel (IPP) and import inspection personnel in response to a string of E. coli 026-related illnesses and a recall in late August of Cargill Meat Solutions ground beef products.
