The Association for Dressings & Sauces (ADS) named its fifteenth annual Dressing of the Year and Sauce of the Year Award winners at the ADS Annual Meeting in October. Q & B Foods won the dressing award for its Kewpie Deep Roasted Sesame Dressing and Marinade and Chelten House Products, Inc. won the sauce award for its Bacon Moonshine BBQ Sauce.
"We are pleased that our Kewpie line of dressings has received this distinguished industry award from the Association for Dressings and Sauces,” said Jerry Shepherd, president of Q&B Foods, “Our Deep Roasted Sesame Dressing and Marinade is truly delicious with a uniquely bold sesame flavor, using the highest quality non-GMO verified ingredients that encourages creative use to inspire your inner chef.” California-based Q&B Foods, Inc. is a division of Kewpie Corporation, Japan's leading manufacturer of mayonnaise, salad dressings, sauces, marinades and related products and a company with roots dating back 97 years.
"Our theme at the ADS Annual Meeting this year was Navigating the Winds of Change,” said Jason Dabrow, chief operating officer (COO) of Chelten House Products, Inc. “We developed this sauce in the spirit of change, and brought two unique tastes together. And bacon continues to be a favorite!” In addition to a legacy spanning four generations, Chelten House Products, Inc. has a history of winning, with 2016 as the fourth time receiving the ADS Sauce of the Year Award.
The awards are presented by ADS to recognize and celebrate truly innovative and delicious products. Nominations for the award were received from ADS members and were then voted on by members via a blind taste test at the ADS May 2016 Technical Meeting in Savannah, Georgia. Founded in 1926, the Association for Dressings & Sauces is an international trade association of manufacturers of salad dressings, mayonnaise, condiment sauces and the suppliers to the industry.
