QA Advisory Board Adds Four Members

RICHFIELD, Ohio — Quality Assurance and Food Safety magazine has added four industry leaders to its Advisory Board.

In 2008, QA magazine created the Advisory Board to provide input and perspective into the editorial content, direction and market involvement of its print and electronic media.

Through the paneling of this board of experts from various sectors of the industry, QA editorial and sales staffs — and board members themselves — benefited from the cross-sector insights, advisement and networking initiatives.

“We are honored to have such highly respected industry professionals join the QA Advisory Board. They will play a key role in ensuring that our editorial coverage of the food safety and security market — a market critical to the health of the U.S. economy — remains relevant and timely,” said Dan Moreland, publisher.

The experience and expertise of the board has enhanced the quality and applicability of the information QA magazine brings to its readers. Although much of the board’s work is behind the scenes, a glimpse of these individual’s expertise is conveyed directly to the reader in the now-regular Advisory Board column, written by a different board member each issue.

As QA moves forward in 2009, continuing its efforts toward improvement and growth, and focusing on the informational needs and wants of readers, it welcomes the affiliation of four new members with the Advisory Board:

  • Shawn McBride, president and CEO, Chef Paul/Magic Seasoning Blends
  • Art Davis, vice president of operations, The Sholl Group/Green Giant Fresh
  • Jeff Hayman, vice president/foodservice distribution, Tampa Maid Foods
  • Thomas Johnson, president, Johnson Diversified Products

  • Deni Naumann, president, Copesan

  • Kim Kemp, division manager, product safety, Nestle Purina
