Ecolab Inc. received the “Outstanding Contribution in Leading Food Safety Efforts and Driving Sustainability in China” award at the 2011 Food & Beverage Green Tech Asia Forum, held in Shanghai.
The forum was organized by the Shanghai Food Association (SFA), a not-for-profit association for food safety professionals throughout the food supply chain industry. Ecolab was the only award recipient and was recognized for its outstanding achievements and contributions in both food safety and sustainability.
“Food safety and sustainability are important and continuing market trends all companies must take seriously,” said Sam Hsu, Ecolab senior vice president and general manager of Greater China. “If managed carefully, they can help deliver on a company’s corporate social responsibilities, proactively create shared value that enhances its competitiveness and simultaneously advance the economic and social value to the communities in which it operates.”
