At a Waste to Profit Network meeting March 24, Dan Ditto, EHS Lead for Rochelle Foods (a Hormel food plant), will discuss how his company improved its bottom line through an aggressive focus on sustainability. The talk will focus working through the restrictions of food manufacturing facilities, Hormel's commitment to sustainability, and its LEED certified plant in Dubuque, Iowa.
Ditto will also describe energy reduction projects of the Rochelle facility and its work with the Department of Energy, along with discussion of the plant's teams and how it gets its employees involved. Attendants will learn some new energy and water conservation tips and new ways to get employees involved in creating change.
