LOS ANGELES–A news video from KABC shows how useful a catchy tune can be–even in regard to food safety.
As reported, Dr. Carl Winter, a professor at UC Davis, proves the point with his creation of parodies about food-borne illness. Winter said he has been in 39 different states and
Winter created three dozen different parodies about food safety, along with animated videos and DVD's. He also performs at conferences, schools, even alphabet agencies like, FDA and USDA. Included among his songs are: “You Better Wash Your Hands” derived from the Beatles, “I Want To Hold Your Hand,” and “I have 'Don't Get Sicky With It,” based on Will Smith's “Gettin' Jiggy With It."
