LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles-based The Nuthouse is voluntarily recalling 5 pound bags and 5 pound boxes of pistachios as they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. This recall is being conducted as a precautionary measure due to the fact that Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc. has recalled roasted & salted in-shell pistachios.
The repacked pistachios were sold from August 10, 2008 through December 31, 2008, at the Los Angeles Wholesale Produce Market in California either in unlabeled brown plastic lined paper bags or white cardboard boxes with plastic inner liners.
As of the date of this release, no reports of illness have been reported.
