Petfood R&D Showcase 2019, from Petfood Industry and Kansas State University Pet Food Science Program, will feature a new theme, “Leveraging Science into Product Innovation.” Attendees will learn about new scientific innovations and how they can be integrated into product development from suppliers of ingredients, equipment and technologies. Demonstration sponsors include Balchem, Chr. Hansen, Extru-Tech Inc./ Milne Fruit, FONA International, Pet Food Solutions and Tree Top Ingredients.
In addition to the keynote presentation and demonstrations, Petfood R&D Showcase will feature scientific presentations that have a direct connection to ideas pet food manufacturers and suppliers can incorporate into their product offerings. Presentation topics include behaviors as biomarkers for animal health and welfare, pathogen contamination, strategies to prevent mite infestation and factors influencing starch digestibility.
