The Petfood Forum conference and exhibition is scheduled for April 29-May 1, featuring a three-day agenda packed with education. With an expert keynote presentation, four general sessions, multiple panel discussions and concurrent session tracks, the conference offers learning opportunities for professionals of all levels. Registration is now open for the Kansas City, Mo., event.
The 2019 program includes four panel discussions providing insights on e-commerce and pet food retailing, science vs. marketing in pet food development, the future of pet food and its consumers, and an update on canine dilated cardiomyopathy. Panelists include top pet food companies and retailers from Champion Petfoods, Royal Canin, Petcurean Pet Nutrition, Red Collar Pet Foods, Nestlé Purina, Petco, and many others.
Back by popular demand, the student career center will highlight new academic research from 11 universities including Cornell University, Kansas State University, University of Illinois, University of Missouri, Texas A&M University, and others. Students will present non-commercial oral presentations and posters on relevant pet food-related research, allowing attendees the chance to see how academic research will impact the industry.
New to the 2019 exhibition floor, the Pet Food Tech Talk Stage showcases the latest products and capabilities from suppliers and innovators assisting pet food companies worldwide. The schedule includes selecting and working with natural colors for extruded kibbles, treats, coating and gravies; a look at natural palatants as an emerging pet food trend; and overcoming unique operational challenges with retort packaging.
