Orkin Wins <EM>Food Processing</EM> Readers’ Choice Award

ATLANTA – This month, Orkin Inc. received a Readers’ Choice Award from Food Processing magazine, a leading trade publication within the food and beverage industry.

The seventh annual Food Processing Readers’ Choice Awards recognized the top suppliers to the food processing industry, based on responses to an online survey of the publication’s readers. 

“Since Food Processing’s readers are key decision makers in the food and beverage industry, they are able to identify the best vendors of quality products and services,” says Bill Kinross, Food Processing’s publisher.  “By voting for their preferred vendors, our readers have rewarded excellence and identified the products and services they trust and use.”

The winners are featured in Food Processing’s April 2009 issue and on the magazine’s Web site, www.foodprocessing.com.

This award follows several other awards recognizing Orkin’s excellence in commercial pest management, including the Readers’ Choice Award from Today’s Facility Manager magazine, a leading trade publication for senior facility-management executives. 

Orkin’s success serving multiple industries stems from an extensive internal training program that has received its own accolades.  For the past six years, Orkin has been the only pest control company named to Training magazine’s Top 125 list of organizations that excel at human capital development.  The American Society for Training and Development also honored Orkin’s training program in 2003 with its BEST Award, which recognizes excellence in training and human capital development.
