NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – AMVAC Chemical Corporation, a business unit of American Vanguard Corporation, continues to build upon its Nuvan product line by introducing three new Nuvan fogging products – Nuvan Fog 5%, Nuvan Fog 4EC and Nuvan Fog 2EC. Targeted for use in commercial applications, the three products offer professional applicators a range of convenience and economy.
The active ingredient in Nuvan, dichlorvos (DDVP), is one of the most effective active ingredients to use against a range of flying and crawling insects most commonly treated in industrial areas.
Insects included on the label for treatment include flies, mosquitoes, wasps, gnats, moths, other small flying insects, cockroaches, ants, silverfish and various beetles. The active ingredient, DDVP, has a long history as a successful and efficacious pesticide product.
“These Nuvan products are fast-acting and non-residual,” Chuck Silcox, Ph.D., Product Development Manager, AMVAC Environmental Products, explained. “The advantage they bring to the market is a track record of effective, broad spectrum control of crawling and flying insects, including strains that have developed resistance to other insecticide classes.”
The NUVAN fog products should be applied with fogging or misting equipment at the rates listed on the label and can be applied in industrial plants, warehouses, silos and bulk bins, labeled areas of food/feed processing, manufacturing, handling and storage plants and non-food/feed areas of processing and manufacturing plants. Consult the label for a full list of application sites and application requirements.
“By building on the NUVAN line of products, we are offering pest management professionals another class of chemistry to help with resistance management,” Jeff Alvis, Business Manager, AMVAC Environmental Products, added. “In addition, the three different concentrations provide the pest professional the right product for the space that needs treatment.”
