ANN ARBOR, Mich. — NSF International has announced two key appointments. David Kirkpatrick has been appointed NSF's corporate retail accounts executive, and John Connelly has been appointed sales and business development manager for NSF's Food Safety Programs.
Kirkpatrick will serve as the primary liaison between NSF and major corporate accounts. He will work with management at corporate accounts and their suppliers, and will represent NSF at key industry groups, industry meetings, conferences and shows.
Kirkpatrick joins NSF with more than twenty years of sales experience. Most recently, Kirkpatrick served as the vice president of national sales at Ubiquity Brands, a food manufacturing holding company. He also has served as the vice president of national sales for Procter & Gamble and as the director of national sales for the Coca-Cola Company. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Michigan State University.
Connelly will manage the sales of NSF's food safety services, which includes overseeing the sales staff and acting as the primary liaison between NSF and corporate food accounts. Connelly and his team will work closely with NSF's food programs, including Dine Safer (restaurant certification) and Shop Fresh, (supermarket certification) to create and execute strategic sales initiatives for key service segments.
Prior to joining NSF, Connelly served as the director of sales at Syngenta, a global agribusiness in the high-value commercial seeds market. He has also worked as the director of sales for Commonwealth Handling Equipment Pool (CHEP), a global company providing pallet and container pooling services, where he directed all U.S. sales activities and launched marketing initiatives for new products. Connelly also has served six years as a staff sergeant for the United States Army in the U.S. and Asia. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
“With the addition of Jack and David to our sales team, NSF will be uniquely positioned to manage client's increasing needs,” said Randy Francisco, NSF director of corporate sales. “Their background in strategic business development, sales and marketing makes them extremely valuable to NSF and to our clients."
