The new Zistos Tanker Inspection System is designed to allow a full visual inspection of the entire interior of a rail or truck tanker. It enables an inspector to look for foreign objects, contaminants and sanitary conditions – without the need to enter the confined space.
The weather-resistant, ruggedly designed system consists of a self-illuminating zoom camera mounted on a pole that mounts to the man-way opening. Still images and video clips are viewed and recorded on the battery-powered LCD display unit. New pending FSMA regulations will mandate that visual inspections be conducted of transportation vessels involved in the bulk transport of food for humans and animals. The new Tanker Inspection System from Zistos is a safe and efficient method for conducting those inspections, the company said.
