Deep house music artist Alzie Ramsey continues to reinvent himself and stay on the forefront of the genre with a new music video. The song “Codex Alimentarius” was inspired by the Codex Alimentarius Commission and the controversy behind the politics of food irradiation. The accompanying video coincides with this controversy by featuring a rotating tri-foil (international symbol for radiation) with a rotating globe in the center.
“I really wanted to do something different from the standard videos you find in the deep house music genre,” says Ramsey. “Most of the videos you find feature a CD cover or just a picture, but I personally think fans want to see more and they deserve more.”

The Codex Alimentarius Commission, established by the Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Health Organization in 1963, develops harmonised international food standards, guidelines and codes of practice to protect the health of the consumers and ensure fair trade practices in the food trade. The Commission also promotes coordination of all food standards work undertaken by international governmental and non-governmental organizations.
