The World Trade Centre (WTC) Mumbai and All India Association of Industries (AIAI) are jointly organizing their annual flagship event in its 5th edition, Global Economic Summit 2015, with the theme of the Summit is “Enabling Food for All.” The summit will be held from November 19 – 21, 2015 at the Expo Centre, WTC Mumbai. The theme underscores the global concern of mitigating hunger and poverty around the world and represents a key priority set by the UN Millennium Development Goals.  The detailed brochure of the GES is attached for your kind reference.

With a view to enhance the value of the Summit we are seeking the support of various agencies of United Nations, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Food Processing Industries and Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India.

In view of the importance of this Summit, we cordially invite you to participate at the Global Economic Summit as a Delegate/Exhibitor.  We have invited eminent experts and policy makers from India and overseas to address the Summit. Scientists, agronomists, farmers, and agri-business practitioners from across the world will gather to discuss the challenges of sustainable agriculture, food security and emerging trends in food production, distribution and agri-business.  The scope of the Summit Conference is mentioned in the attached brochure.

The highlights of the three-day Summit are Conference, Exhibition, B2B meetings, visit to agri food park / food processing unit in the vicinity and Hand Book. The objective of the Summit is to address the key issues of food security and sustainable agriculture. Today, even though the world produces enough food to feed everyone, hunger remains a problem. The model of agriculture production must address the new food security challenges of the 21st century.  The GES will provide a platform to share new innovations and technologies in the farm sector which can be adapted by developing and marginalized economies to revitalize their agro sector.

The Summit will also highlight the role of India as a key agricultural economy and explore ways and means of strengthening India’s linkages with the global food chain.  Over 30 countries will participate and present various aspects of the agro sector at the Summit.
