KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Multivac, a leading manufacturer of thermoform fill-seal rollstock and vacuum chamber packaging systems, has once again been awarded the Hormel Foods Spirit of Excellence. Multivac received the distinction for supplying Hormel with innovative, reliable and economical packaging solutions for a wide range of its product lines.
Hormel suppliers are given the award each year in recognition of taking a proactive role in meeting or surpassing specific requirements established by the company’s supplier quality management committee. Eligible companies were selected based on delivery performance, product quality, customer service, administration and plant quality audits. Nominations were made throughout the year by the Hormel Foods purchasing, provisions, procurement, logistics and engineering departments.
The award was officially presented at Multivac’s North American headquarters in Kansas City June 12.
“Once again, Multivac takes tremendous pride in being recognized by Hormel Foods as one of its top suppliers,” said Multivac President and CEO Jan Erik Kuhlmann, in a release. “Multivac is committed to providing Hormel Foods and all of our clients with the industry’s absolute best packaging systems in order to support their business goals and help drive their growth. We are honored to work with Hormel Foods, and look forward to our continued partnership with this great American company.”
