MCLEAN, Va. – Mars, Incorporated is helping people and their pets celebrate Halloween together.
Approximately 43% of U.S. pet owners plan to include their pets in Halloween festivities this year, according to a recent Ipsos and Mars survey. Inspired by this trend, Mars, the maker of more than 40 snacking, food and pet brands in the U.S., including M&M'S, SNICKERS, Ben's Original, PEDIGREE and TEMPTATIONS, is unveiling its first-ever, limited edition Halloween themed Mars Tails & Treating Packs, which offer Mars sweets and snacks for people alongside Mars treats for dogs and cats, said the company.
"As a family-owned company, at Mars we know holidays mean more when we can celebrate together," said Tim LeBel, chief Halloween officer and president of Sales at Mars Wrigley North America — a division of Mars, Incorporated. "We're excited to give Americans the chance to extend spooky season celebrations to their beloved pets with our Mars Tails & Treating Packs — a first-of-its kind product innovation that only a company like Mars can offer."
In celebration of this limited-time offer, and to help further the Mars Petcare purpose: A BETTER WORLD FOR PETS, Mars is donating $10,000 to the PEDIGREE Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to helping adoptable dogs find loving homes, said Mars.
Each Mars Tails & Treating pack includes five bags of Share Size Milk Chocolate M&M'S, five Full Size SNICKERS Chocolate candy bars and five SKITTLES Original Fruity Candy share size bags for humans, along with one pack of GREENIES Dental Treats for dogs (consumers can select size Teeny to Large depending on pet size), one pack of GREENIES™ Cat Dental Treats, three packs of PEDIGREE Drizzlers™ Savory Sauce (assorted flavors) for dogs and one box of TEMPTATIONS Lickable Spoons treats for cats. To elevate your next Halloween celebration, the pack also includes a Spooky Seven Layer Dip seasonal recipe from Mars Ben's Original brand with an exclusive discount code for Ben's Original products, said the company. Candy for people and treats for pets are packaged in sperate containers within the Mars Tails & Treating packs, making it easy to store human and pet treats separately and consume safely, said Mars.
"Mars products are enjoyed by millions of people and pets across the country each year," said Anton Vincent, president of Mars Wrigley North America & Global Ice Cream – a division of Mars, Incorporated. "Our diverse portfolio reflects Mars commitment to innovation as we continuously strive to make sure our brands are positioned to meet Americans' needs while playing a meaningful role in people and pets' lives."
Available now, while supplies last, the Mars Tails & Treating Packs can be purchased for $10.31 at www.marstailsandtreating.com. Sales tax will be applied to at checkout and will vary by state.
