LGS Now BRC Certified

LGS Specialty Sales Ltd. (LGS), an importer and distributor of citrus, grapes, and avocados, is now BRC certified. As one of the first in its category to earn this certification, the company said it is proud to be a leader in food safety, setting superior standards in the produce industry.

LGS sought the BRC certification due to its unique set of standards that are tailored to the company’s role within the supply chain. BRC certification is a rigorous standard within the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and is a great fit for LGS’ business model as an importer, the company said. As a certified company, BRC not only monitors LGS for compliance, but also verifies all of its suppliers for implementation of food safety and quality protocol.
