California voters said no to a proposition to require labeling of all food products containing GMOs, but Leavitt Partner's Dr. David Acheson says in a recent blog post that this should not be a signal for food companies to relax.
"California tends to be out in front in food requirements and regulations," Acheson writes. "And in many cases, as California goes, so goes the nation - eventually. While the proposition may have been defeated, the push for GMO labeling is alive and well - across the U.S."
