Lamitech, a converter of paperboard, has completed the acquisition of Signature Food Boards, which was an operating division of General Die & Die Cutting in Roosevelt, NY.

Signature Food Boards consists of patented, FDA-approved products serving the bakery and cake-tray markets. The line of products, designed to be moisture, oil and grease resistant allows mistakes to be easily wiped clean by caked decorators without costly waste.

Lamitech’s expansion into the bakery board market is part of a strategic growth plan that began in 2014 with a commitment to an AIB International audit process that annually certifies its manufacturing process as being food-safe. Lamitech, in receiving AIB audit ratings of “Superior” for two consecutive years, is among a select number of paperboard converters to successfully achieve a third-party safety inspection/audit for its direct food contact products, the company said.
