LIBERTY, Mo. — Jennifer Gordon, Ph.D., has joined Douglas Products as a field scientist to support pest management companies serving customers with treatments using Vikane and ProFume gas fumigants.
“We are excited to have Jennifer join our pest management team,” says Heather Kern, commercial leader of the Douglas Products pest management division in North America. “She will provide our field sales team and our customers with excellent support based on her strong academic experience plus her enthusiasm to offer educational outreach.”
A focus of Gordon’s academic career has been the development of resistance in insect pests, notably mosquitoes and bed bugs. She holds a Ph.D. in entomology from the University of Kentucky with a concentration in evolutionary insecticide toxicology, and a master’s degree in entomology from Louisiana State University with a concentration in toxicology. She earned her bachelor’s degree in entomology at Purdue University.
Previously Gordon worked for the Clorox Company, Pleasanton, California, as a senior scientist in the Clinical and Scientific Affairs group. Before that she was the lead urban entomologist for S.C. Johnson, Racine, Wisconsin, and managed many of their external scientific relationships.
