“GFSI was created to reduce food safety risks, manage cost and strengthen consumer confidence. Today, it’s more important than ever to proactively manage the supply chain,” said Matthew Smith, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer for iCiX. “For suppliers participating in GFSI accreditation with one or more of their customers, iCiX can help them effectively manage the GFSI certification process, ultimately giving them a leg up on their competition.”
The iCiX suite of applications provides all of the elements necessary to manage the GFSI program. Building on iCiX Compliance Management as the first step, iCiX publishing platform is an important tool for companies to build their network to start sharing documents with suppliers and track compliance with a clear audit trail.
How the iCiX Network Works
iCiX's industry-wide approach allows suppliers to securely share certificates and data with all their trading partners, which helps reduce redundant certifications and costs throughout the supply chain.
The iCiX network facilitates the immediate exchange of validated information between trading partners or any designated member, reducing workload and increasing reach and efficiency within the supply chain. iCiX reduces both the paperwork and the uncertainty that stems from keeping track of testing, certificates, and other key documentation.
iCiX’s web-based network provides confirmation that certification documents are received and that they came from a validated source. Validation bodies can add ancillary information relating to test results or certifications, such as unsatisfactory results that need to be addressed. iCiX also provides business intelligence and search tools to identify problems, manage exceptions, and resolves issues quickly.
