After Britain’s 2017 vote to leave the European Union, “Brexit” negotiations officially began on June 19. To address UK food and beverage industry concerns and provide information, conversation and a platform to voice their concerns, New Food’s one day Food Brexit conference will be held October 31, 2017, in London.
The Food Brexit conference will take the form of panel discussions, case studies, with lots of opportunity for audience interaction and participation, focusing on three key areas that will be impacted by the Brexit negotiations:
- Trade – tariff-free market access for both exports and vital imports, plus the long term future of cross-border trade.
- Workforce – continued access to a skilled workforce. British agriculture and the hospitality sector rely heavily on overseas workers to deliver their products and services.
- Regulation – the production, processing, distribution, retail, packaging and labelling of food & drink is governed by law, regulation and codes of practice, with the majority currently from EU level.
Join with host broadcaster John Pienaar in London and other food and beverage professionals to discuss and debate how Brexit could impact your organization. Speakers will include:
- John Pienaar, Broadcaster, Food Brexit Chairman
