LAWRENCE — Janet Napolitano, U.S. Department of Homeland Security secretary, is scheduled to visit Kansas next week.
Napolitano is expected to review the response to ice storms in Kentucky on Tuesday and then head to Manhattan, where she will talk about food safety at Kansas State University's Biosecurity Research Institute.
Napolitano is scheduled to address state emergency managers in Topeka on Wednesday, and then travel to Greensburg, which was devastated by a tornado in 2007, for the opening of a new supermarket.
