Gordon Hayburn Awarded Harold Barnum Industry Award

Hayburn recognized for service to food safety education, leadership achievements and independent peer assessment.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Gordon Hayburn, SAI Global Technical Director of Agri-Food, was recently awarded the prestigious Harold Barnum Industry Award by the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP).

 
The Harold Barnum Industry Award recognizes individuals whose career highlights include leadership achievements, service to food safety education and independent peer assessment. These achievements reflect exceptional service to the food industry, IAGP and the public at large. Hayburn was nominated by well-known senior industry leaders and an IAFP Student group, that has known him through the years, recognized his achievements and recommended him for this award.
 
Hayburn is a highly qualified subject matter expert in the areas of food safety and food science.  He is a very knowledgeable BRC and ISO 22000 auditor, as well as a skilled trainer and lecturer. As a leader of the SAI Global Food Safety Team, Hayburn's industry expertise and food safety knowledge is available to SAI Global customers and prospects and an additional resource for their Food Safety questions.
 
Hayburn joined SAI Global as Technical Director Agri-Food in 2011. During this time he has helped expand SAI Global's scope in the food safety sector and professional team to satisfy the growing demand of food standard management systems. Gordon's 25 years of experience in food manufacturing, food safety and auditing is a major asset in supporting and ensuring the seamless execution of SAI Global's food safety program for customers. Hayburn also conducts training for several food safety courses at SAI Global.
 
Chosen by IAFP committee, Hayburn is receiving the well-deserved Harold Barnum Industry Award at IAFP 2012 Annual Meeting. SAI Global congratulates Gordon with this outstanding achievement and is thrilled to have him as a valuable asset and contributor to the company.
