FAIRFAX, VA – The fourth Global Health & Food Safety Summit, originally planned for June 2020 in Singapore, has been postponed to June 2021 due to the potential impact of the Coronavirus. As the full risk of the Coronavirus is still unknown, the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), Confederation of European Pest Management Associations (CEPA), and Federation of Asian & Oceania Pest Managers Association (FAOPMA) in conjunction with the Singapore Pest Management Association (SPMA) have decided to take this precaution in order to protect our members and attendees.
“It is an unfortunate circumstance to have to postpone this meeting, but the well-being of our participants is our primary concern,” stated NPMA President Chris Gorecki. “The U.S., CEPA (Europe) and FAOPMA (Pacific Rim & Asia) will continue to develop the program for the 2021 Summit and look forward to hosting an outstanding meeting in 2021.”
The Summit is a bi-annual forum that looks at pest management services in terms of the needs of the food service, retail, hospitality and other service business sectors. The two-day program will cover topics including environmental stewardship, artificial intelligence applications for pest management, technological impacts on food safety regulations, vector-borne disease management, and more.
More information about the 2021 Global Health & Food Safety Summit will be available in the coming months.
