TEMPLE, Pa. — Giorgio Foods announces that Robert Koch has been promoted to national sales manager for military and convenience store sales. Koch, who previously served as the company's national account manager, will now work to open and expand Giorgio's business in the military and convenience store market segments.
"Robert has the sales background and experience needed to increase our ability to serve the military and convenience store sales markets," Ron Hoffman, Giorgio's vice president of sales and marketing, said in a release. "He has a vast knowledge of those market segments, and understands their needs in an ever-changing business."
As national sales manager, Koch will be responsible for overseeing the company's sales efforts in two of its newest and fastest growing business segments.
Employed by Giorgio for six years, Koch started with the company as a school market specialist responsible for new business development within Pennsylvania and along the east coast. Prior to working at Giorgio, Koch was employed for more than ten years at Van Bennett, a foodservice distributor in Reading, Pa., as a school service specialist. Koch also is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.
