GFSI to Host Focus Day in South Africa

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa - The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) has announced plans to host its first Focus Day in Africa, at the Hilton Sandton in Johannesburg, South Africa.

GFSI named five reasons for food safety professionals to attend the unique event:

1. Go back to basics and get a complete introduction to the Global Food Safety Initiative, including the principles behind it, an overview of certification and accreditation, information on the GFSI recognized schemes and insight on how small businesses can implement the GFSI principles within their company.
2. Hear case studies and success stories from companies that have implemented GFSI.
3. Learn from speakers who have in-depth experience of GFSI through their years of collaboration with the initiative.
4. Network with fellow food safety professionals.
