SAN ANTONIO — Food Safety Net Services (FSNS) has hired Dr. Keith Belk as director of scientific affairs.
Belk will have various responsibilities in his new role, such as providing technical troubleshooting to customers, performing facility audits and conducting industry research.
He also is a professor in the Department of Animal Sciences at Colorado State University and has numerous years of experience in the food industry. Belk serves as the president-elect for the American Meat Science Association and is active in many other industry organizations.
He received his bachelor’s degree in animal science and a master’s degree in meat science from Colorado State University, and his Ph.D. in meat science from Texas A&M University.
