The FDA has submitted the Food Safety Modernization Act final preventive controls rules for human and animal food to the Federal Register for publication, as required by the court.
However, because documents submitted to the Federal Register can take several days to publish after they are submitted, (with larger documents taking longer to process and display), the rules are not yet available for review.
Noting its commitment to sharing information about the final rules and how food facilities can comply as soon as it is able to do so, FDA will update the information on its FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) web page as soon as the final rules are available via the Federal Register.
