Frozen Turkey Products Recalled

Six tons of recalled product was sent to a dozen states and Canada.

WASHINGTON — Ian’s Natural Foods, a Revere, Mass., establishment is voluntarily recalling more than 12,800 pounds of frozen turkey products because they may contain non-fat milk, a known allergen, which is not declared on the label.

The products subject to recall include:

  • 8-oz. boxes of “IAN’S POPCORN TURKEY CORN DOGS, CRISPY BATTER DIPPED TURKEY DOGS.” Each box contains the establishment number “P-19011” inside the USDA mark of inspection as well as a packaging date of “07099,” “07114,” “07120” or “07173.”
  • 8-oz. boxes of “IAN’S BATTER DIPPED TURKEY SAUSAGE DOGS, PRODUCT OF USA.” Each box contains the establishment number “P-19011” inside the USDA mark of inspection as well as the packaging date of “07137.”

The popcorn turkey corn dogs were produced on various dates between April 9 and June 22, and were sent to distribution centers in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Texas and Washington. The batter-dipped turkey sausage dogs were produced on May 17, and were exported to Canada.

The problem was discovered by the firm after receiving consumer complaints. FSIS has received no reports of illness due to consumption of these products.
